I have many interests and hobbies, too many to list right now, but beyond my top 2 – God and Family – I’ve been fostering a love of the written word since before I can remember. Books were my bedtime companions long before I could decipher their meanings and good stories have always moved me.
Besides pecking away at the keyboard every chance I get, here are a few writing projects I’m involved in.
No Other Gods was a finalist in the 2009 ACFW Genesis Contest for unpublished novelists in the Contemporary Fiction category.
I write occasional book and movie reviews for New Wineskins Magazine. If there’s a new book, especially fiction, that is creating a buzz, drop me a line and maybe I’ll review it.
I serve as publicity coordinator for Oregon Christian Writers. We host 3 one-day conferences thoughout the year and culminate with a four-day coaching conference in the summer.
I partcipate in two writing critique groups. If you’re interested in attending those or how to start a new one in your area, I’d be happy to help you. I also attend my local chapter meetings for ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers). You can find out what our chapter is doing at portlandchristianwriters.blogspot.com
